Scheduling lessons

To schedule a swim lesson, contact any of LBC’s talented swim instructors listed below! They will work with you directly to find a time that works best for you both.

Britta Rindal

My name is Britta Rindal, I am a sophomore at the University of Washington with a Law Societies and Justice intended major.

My current roles here at the Laurelhurst Beach Club include Manager and Head Swim Instructor, but I have been lifeguarding and teaching swimming lessons (in the lake and the pool) for 4 years now.

Growing up I swam competitively between the ages of 4-18 on various swim teams including Club, Highschool, and Summer League. Most of my fondest memories growing up were in and around the lake and the pool.

I have extensive experience teaching swimmers of all capabilities and comfort levels from ages 2 to 46! I’ve worked with swimmers just getting comfortable being in the water and learning floats to swimmers looking to master stroke techniques and quicken turns.

I look forward to working with your swimmer soon!

Liam Mclaughlin

Hi! My name is Liam, and I’ve been a lifeguard at LBC for two years. I have also been swimming at the beach club since I was two. I have been a competitive swimmer since I was six, including swimming for my high school team and Sand Point. Currently, I’m a sophomore at Northeastern studying bioengineering. For as long as I can remember, swimming has been one of my biggest passions. I am excited to have the opportunity to teach your children and pass on my love for swimming. I am confident that I can help your swimmer achieve their goals this summer. I worked with children as a Pedalheads coach, teaching children of all ages and skill levels to ride bikes. My previous experience has made me a patient, supportive, and committed teacher who values making learning fun with lots of laughs.

I am looking forward to coaching your child and supporting them every step of the way. Let’s make waves!

Lucy Pew

My name is Lucy Pew and I just graduated from Roosevelt High School. I have been on the Sandpoint Country Club Swim Team since I was little, and love spending my summers in the lake and pool. I have head coached lacrosse in the spring for the past 3 years, so I am very comfortable working with kids of all ages and instructing them through learning new skills and how to get over their fears.

I will focus on making sure kids feel comfortable in the water and feel safe while having fun and learning to be confident swimmers. Next year, I am going to Colgate University where I am running cross country, and in my free time, I love to be outside, hang out with my friends and family, and try new ice cream flavors. Excited to get to know you and your kids this summer!

Chloe Horner

My name is Chloe Horner, and I am a junior at Seattle Prep. This is my first summer as an LBC lifeguard, but I’ve been a member my whole life and learned to swim in the lake. If your child is nervous about swimming in the lake, I have those same feelings and will be happy to help them through it. I’ve also had years of experience babysitting and working with kids in the neighborhood. I can’t wait to work with your child this summer!
