Eligibility for Beach Club Membership shall be strictly limited to the following: Any person owning and residing on real property zoned as a “Single Family Residence” (SFR) as of January 1, 2013, and which real property is located within the boundaries set forth on the map attached hereto (collectively, the “Boundary”), which map is by this reference incorporated herein. Further, membership shall be limited to only one membership per tax parcel within the Boundary. Members of the Fleet have sailed out of the Laurelhurst Beach Club at least since the 1920s. On New Year's Eve, 1939, a group of young men and women gathered to sign a Fleet Charter, granted to the Laurelhurst Flattie Fleet by the International Flattie Yacht Racing Association. At that time, Flattie enthusiasts from several neighborhoods bordering Lake Washington and Portage Bay signed the Charter.
